We break down all the key stats to emerge from Saturday's 59-point win over the Suns. 

 

1. Mitch Wallis had a game high 13 score involvements, Shane Biggs had 11, while Liam Picken, Luke Dahlhaus and Jason Johannisen had 9.   11 Bulldogs had more than the leading Sun, which was Aaron Hall with six.

2. We predicted here that Bailey Dale could be one to continue the habit of Bulldogs setting career highs in disposals in Cairns. We were almost right; Dale’s three goals set a new high, and on his 21st birthday.

3. The Dogs have won just two matches in V/AFL history by 54 points, Darwin 2008 and Cairns 2017. Thanks to Twitter stats guru, @AndrewGigacz for that one.

4. In the third quarter the game was tied at eight goals each before the Dogs piled on the next eight unanswered for total score of 16.14.110, the highest score ever kicked at Cazaly’s Stadium.
