Jack Redpath will miss this weekend’s match with Essendon at Etihad Stadium after accepting a one-match sanction for striking Gold Coast skipper Tom Lynch on Saturday afternoon.
Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Gold Coast Suns, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact to the head.
The incident was classified as a two-match sanction but Redpath has accepted a one-match ban with an early plea.
He has also accepted a $1000 fine for wrestling Lynch.
