The Western Bulldogs have confirmed three changes to its playing list on Monday.
Tim O’Brien, Cody Raak and Robbie McComb were all informed that they would not be offered contracts for the 2024 season.
O’Brien arrived at the Kennel as an unrestricted free agent during the 2021 Trade Period, playing 18 games in two seasons. The 29-year-old had previously been on Hawthorn’s list since 2014, playing 97 games.
Raak, 20, was pre-selected as a Category B Rookie in 2021, becoming the third Bulldog to graduate from the Next Generation Academy program. The Western Jets product played in all 11 consecutive victories during Footscray’s finals tilt this season.
McComb was selected in the 2021 Rookie Draft, becoming the fourth Bulldog to be drafted out of the state league Footscray side. McComb played 18 games for the red, white and blue over two seasons.
Bulldogs’ General Manager of List and Recruiting Sam Power thanked all three players for their contributions to the football club.
“We appreciate the dedication and commitment from Tim, Cody and Robbie during their time at the Club and wish them all the best for their future endeavours,” Power said.
“They are terrific people who will always be welcome back at VU Whitten Oval.”
The trio's departure from the Club takes the Bulldogs' off-season player changes to five, after Josh Bruce announced his retirement and Mitch Hannan was not offered a contract for the 2024 season.
