Development coach Travis Varcoe will depart the Western Bulldogs this week after three seasons at VU Whitten Oval.
The 35-year-old has worked predominately in the VFL program, while assisting the AFL players during the week at training.
Varcoe came to the Club after winning two premierships with Geelong and Collingwood in his playing days, finishing with 230 games and 171 goals.
“Travis is a quality person who has made a big impact on our program over the past three seasons,” Bulldogs Executive Director of Football, Chris Grant said.
“Despite being in the infancy of his coaching career, Trav’s influence across the VFL and AFL has helped the development our young players, including through the valuable mentorship of our Indigenous athletes.
“We thank Travis for his contribution at the Bulldogs and wish him and his family all the best into the future. He is always welcome back at our football club.”
Varcoe was thankful to the Club for giving him a start in his coaching career.
“I’ve loved my time at the Bulldogs and am forever grateful to Bevo and coaching staff for giving me the opportunity here,” Varcoe said.
“I’m looking forward to continuing my coaching journey into the future and wish the club all the best next season.”
Varcoe joins assistant coaches Marc Webb and Rohan Smith to depart the club in the off-season.
