The club's football general manager James Fantasia confirmed the injury on Monday.

"He is likely to miss the next three to four weeks," Fantasia said.

The Match Review Panel considered Crameri's bump on Addison as "rough conduct" and the Bomber forward has been offered a two-match suspension.

After playing just four games last year, Addison has been a regular for the Dogs in 2012, playing 12 out of possible 13 games.

He has been a solid contributor in defence and is enjoying his best season, averaging a tick under 14 disposals a game.

The injury opens the door for veteran defender Lindsay Gilbee who has returned from injury and been named an emergency in the past two weeks. Nathan Djerrkura - who has also returned from injury - will undoubtedly be considered as well after a strong performance in the VFL on the weekend.

Saturday was a bad night all round for the Bulldogs, losing heavily to the Bombers and also losing star Robert Murphy.
