WESTERN Bulldogs veteran Scott West is on track to make his long awaited return to football this weekend at VFL level.
West will play his first game since round six on Saturday in the Williamstown-Bendigo Bombers clash at Burbank Oval having overcome an ongoing knee problem.
"It's been a long road for him and all is on track for him to play which is great for him," assistant coach Leon Cameron said on Wednesday.
"He's got to train tomorrow and make sure he's OK and ticks all the boxes and away he goes on Saturday."
In other selection news, ruckman Ben Hudson is expected to return to the senior side after being a late withdrawal from the side which lost to North Melbourne with back tightness while Cameron Wight will miss one to two weeks after breaking his jaw in the VFL.
