Western Bulldogs top draft pick Jake Stringer will get his first taste of senior football Friday night, with the bullocking 18-year-old called into the Dogs' 27-man NAB Cup squad to face Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium.

After Dylan Addison was withdrawn from the Bulldogs' line-up due to soreness after training this morning, the number five draft pick overall in the 2012 AFL National Draft has been given his opportunity.

Stringer will join fellow top ten draft pick Jackson Macrae in the Dogs' squad, while midfield pick-up Koby Stevens and key defender Jordan Roughead will step out in the red, white and blue for the first time in 2013 on Friday night.
