The Footscray Bulldogs inaugural lineup has been announced, as the team prepares for their first competitive hitout against Northern Blues on Friday 7 March 2014 at VISY Park.
Twelve listed Western Bulldogs players have been named in the AFL curtain raiser, including 2013 first round draftee Marcus Bontempelli – who is set to play his first official game for the Club.
Liam Jones, Sam Darley and Christian Howard are in line to open their 2014 campaign as part of the Footscray squad, adding a combined 87 senior AFL games experience to the list.
Rookies Mark Austin and rookie Alex Greenwood have also been included in the side, as they look to sharpen their skills in the competitive clash.
After being restricted through injury at the trail end of last year, promising midfielder Josh Prudden is expected to see some game time, before the official season starts.
Tall trio Fletcher Roberts, Michael Talia and Jack Redpath have also been named for Footscray, after gaining valuable match experience in the NAB Challenge competition in February.
