The Western Bulldogs were defeated by Geelong Cats in round five of the VFLW on Saturday.

The Cats were too strong at home, kicking away victors in the 6.7 (43) to 2.3 (15) affair.

Intensity engulfed the opening moments of this cat and dog fight, although the oppositions’ efforts dominated on the scoreboard.

A scoreless first quarter from the Bulldogs saw the Cats lead by 19.

Imahra Cameron impressed as usual, kicking the team’s first goal for the day during the second term.

Dominique Carbone kicked the opening major in the third term, although the opposition continued to respond before running away with the win. 

Tahlia Meier impressed again collecting 17 disposals and landing four tackles, while Jorja Borg recorded 17 touches and 21 hit outs.

Sarah Skinner totalled seven tackles and Dominique Carruthers recorded 15 disposals respectively.

The Bulldogs will look to get back on the winners list as they face Southern Saints at Trevor Barker Beach Oval at 11:00am this Saturday.
