Stopping the Suns' two way running will be a focus for the Western Bulldogs and Matthew Boyd believes his side is up to the task.

Boyd said a four quarter effort will be necessary from the Bulldogs, after the Suns fought to the final siren without any rotations in the final quarter to hold on for a win against Collingwood.

“We really rate their ability to run and spread and they showed that last week,” Boyd said.

“They have enormous courage to push when they are fatigued.

“We will be playing our game and we will be making sure we are doing everything we can to make sure we can go with them for four quarters this time.”

Senior Assistant Coach Brett Montgomery was confident of an improved performance tomorrow, and said the Dogs are focussed on a four quarter effort.

“I think we can [keep up with them],” Montgomery said.

“We showed for at least a half and maybe even three quarters last time we played them, we did more than enough to get the result that night.

“30 really poor minutes cost us.”
