Lower and Bate train with Dogs
Nick Lower and Matthew Bate are two of four players granted permission to train with the Dogs ahead of the pre-season draft.
The 25-year-old played at half back early in his career before switching to the midfield where he recorded some impressive numbers with the Dockers — averaging over 20 possessions in 22 games in 2011/12.

Former Melbourne forward and 2004 first round draftee Matthew Bate will also train with the Club. The 102 gamer kicked 98 goals over seven seasons with the Demons.
VFL players Ben Duscher and Brett Goodes were rewarded for their standout seasons by earning an invitation to pre-season training.
Duscher captained Bendigo Gold for the past two seasons and is a hard bodied midfielder, while Goodes won a VFL team of the year selection at half back.
Goodes also holds the role of Player Welfare Manager at the Club.
