Seven new Bulldogs recruits were allocated their playing guernsey numbers today with power forward Jake Stringer being handed number nine, recently vacated by retiree Lindsay Gilbee.

Creative midfielder Jackson Macrae will wear number 11 and fellow school mate and first round-draftee Nathan Hrovat will wear number 24, worn previously by club greats Gary Dempsey and Steven Wallis.

West Coast recruit Koby Stevens will follow Ryan Hargrave and Herb Henderson by wearing number 25 and father-son recruit Lachlan Hunter will wear number 26.

Third round draftee Josh Prudden was handed the number 28 guernsey and Collingwood recruit Tom Young was given 31,  the number made famous by Brownlow Medallist Kelvin Templeton.

Luke Dahlhaus moved from 40 to the prestigious number six guernsey, previously worn by Brad Johnson and the late Charlie Sutton.
