More than 600 children have enjoyed getting up close and personal with the Bulldogs playing group during the school holidays as part of the Club's "Train with the Team Days".

Today more than 300 children from the western suburbs converged on Kinder Smith Reserve in Braybrook to learn some new skills with the players, get some autographs and enjoy other activities.

Club mascot Woofer was on hand to cheer on the children aged between 5 years and 12years whle they ran, kicked, handballed and threw themselves around during the day long session.

Bulldogs Captain Brad Johnson said the day was a good opportunity for the players to interact with children from the community.

"It's always a surprise when you get here and see so many kids and they all know your name and some will reel off amazing stats that make you realise how passionate they are.

It's great to see so many Bulldog fans and potentially some stars of the future." he said.

The children all recieved a child's size Train with the Team Day t-shirt, a mini Sherrin Football, autograph lanyard, booklet and ticket wallet along with a drawstring backpack.
