Veteran Western Bulldogs forward Daniel Giansiracusa has accepted a reprimand from the Match Review Panel for engaging in rough conduct against Adelaide Crows midfielder Patrick Dangerfield in last Sunday’s game.
The incident occurred late in the second quarter of the round six clash.
Giansiracusa will be free to play in Saturday night’s round seven match against Essendon.
In accepting the reprimand, Giansiracusa assumes 70.31 carry-over points to his future match review panel record.
Based on video evidence available and the a medical report from the Crows, the incident involving Giansiracusa was assessed as reckless, low impact body contact.
Giansiracusa’s six-year good record, along with accepting the early plea, allowed for the resulting reprimand sanction.
