Dale Morris is inching closer to a return to the Western Bulldogs back six, with Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie expecting the tall defender to complete full training this week.
“Dale trained the majority of the session last week but didn’t quite pull up well enough to play,” McKenzie said.
“We expect him to train fully this week and he will be assessed to play this week.”
Second year player Nathan Hrovat made his return to football playing for the Footscray Bulldogs in the VFL after a small stint on the sidelines with a calf injury.
“Nathan returned to the VFL group and his calf pulled up really well,” he said.
“He got through the game as we expected so we are happy.”
McKenzie said the remainder of the playing group can boast a clean bill of health after both of the weekend’s games.
“The group have come in really well, the normal bumps and bruises but we are happy with where they are at,” he said.
