The LeasePlan Western Bulldogs target to sign up 32,000 members for season 2007 is now one step closer, with the Club setting a new membership record for the third consecutive year earlier this week.

As of Tuesday 17th April the Western Bulldogs membership tally stands at 27,602, surpassing last years record of 26,042 members.

The Club’s current membership tally has over 4,000 more members compared to the same time last year.

While Western Bulldogs Chief Executive Campbell Rose says breaking last years record membership tally is quite an achievement, he urges the over 4,000 members who are yet to sign on from 2006 to renew their memberships.

“Reaching the 27,000 membership mark for the first time in the Club’s history is a great achievement for everyone at the Club and is a good reward for all those who have put in so much work, but we must continue to strive towards signing on 32,000 members.

“They are out there, all those supporters from last year who are yet to renew. If our 4,000 un-renewed members signed on today we would be just under 400 members away from our target of 32,000 members. With so many exciting developments taking place both on and off the field, there has never been a better time to join the Bulldogs family so I encourage everyone to either contact the Club by calling 1300 GO DOGS (46 36 47) or visiting www.westernbulldogs.com.au to sign up.” Said Rose.

“Target 32,000 is not just a pipe dream. It will become a reality and we are well on our way to achieving our target, but to get there we need the help of all our supporters. So to all those supporters out there who have friends or family who are yet to sign up, why not visit the “Help Find a Lost Dog” page off the membership tab on www.westernbulldogs.com.au and encourage the lost dogs to come back to the kennel where they will always be welcomed, and at the same time be in the running to win some great Bulldogs prizes,” said Rose.

“Let’s challenge ourselves and dare to dream. Target 32,000 is a reality. We are now just 4,400 members away. It is just around the corner. Let’s all pull together and you never know what is possible,” said Rose.
