Senior coach Luke Beveridge has praised Lachie Hunter for his ability to play through Sunday’s come-from-behind win against Carlton with a suspected broken hand.
Hunter was important in the final-quarter comeback, as the Bulldogs kicked six goals to one for the term to claim a 16-point win.
He finished the night with two goals from 14 disposals.
“We think he’s got a broken hand,” Beveridge said post-game.
“It was a pretty determined, tough effort to get through the game.
“There’s a chance he might need a plate put in that - we’ll go and have that x-rayed now… it isn’t a significant thing, but they sting, they hurt.
“He had a huge last quarter Lachie, he was one of the levers we pulled. He went up to the wing. He’s been tremendous for us forward.
“It was a great effort from him to keep playing.”
