Jordan Roughead will undergo a fitness test tomorrow afternoon and is inching closer to a football return, after successful rehabilitation of his AC injury

Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie said the defender had rejoined training and could be in line for selection as soon as this weekend against Gold Coast.

“Jordan has been in training, he’s moving well [and] he’s feeling really good,” McKenzie said.

“He needs to get through training on Thursday and we will make an assessment from there.”

Fellow tall Tom Williams is also still aiming to prove his fitness for Sunday’s match, despite enduring calf tightness in the Bulldogs win against Melbourne last fortnight.

“Tom was obviously sore out of the game last week – it’s settled down really well and we will see on Thursday how he’s tracking and make another judgement on that,” he said.

Surgery on Tory Dickson’s pectoral muscle last week went to plan, with the forward set to miss at least two months of football after injuring himself against the Demons.

“Tory had his pec repaired last week the surgeon was happy with how it went,” he said.

“He’s got a review later this afternoon so we will know more after that.”

After battling  a shoulder complaint in Footscray’s round six victory against Sandringham in the VFL, Matt Fuller will have to pass the main training session to determine his availability.

“Matt’s in a similar position, he irritated his shoulder last week that’s settled down quite well, we will see how he goes this week and how he goes in training tomorrow,” he said.

Josh Prudden has also been cleared ahead of Footscray’s clash with Coburg this weekend and will be available for selection.
