Gun midfielder Jack Macrae and key forward Aaron Naughton are back for Monday’s AAMI Community Series match against Melbourne at Marvel Stadium.
The important pair have been named in the Western Bulldogs’ team of 26 players to face the Dees, after missing the informal scratch match against Hawthorn a fortnight ago.
Four players yet to debut at AFL level also feature in the extended team.
Rookie draftee Lachie McNeil and recently-signed utility Anthony Scott both featured against the Hawks and have been named in the forward pocket and on the interchange respectively.
First-year forward Dom Bedendo and emerging defender Buku Khamis have also been named on the interchange.
The match will be the Bulldogs’ final pre-season test, before starting their season against Collingwood on Friday 19 March at the MCG.
Monday’s clash will be broadcast live on Fox Footy.
Ticketing information is available here. Bulldog members receive free entry to these games but do need to register for a ticket, while seats are also available for purchase for the general public.
A VFL clash will also be played at VU Whitten Oval on Monday morning, with Footscray hosting the Casey Demons.
Gates open at 10am for a 10.30am start. The match is free to attend, however there is a limited capacity of 1,000 people due to Covid protocols. Click here to read the COVIDSafe checklist.
