The Western Bulldogs’ AFLW winning streak has been halted at the hands of premiership fancy Collingwood on Sunday.

A commanding second half performance by the Magpies saw them run out 36-point winners on a warm afternoon at Victoria Park.

The Bulldogs went toe-to-toe with their undefeated opponent in a tough and pressure-packed first half, taking a slender lead into the main break.

However, their resistance was snuffed out by a powerful third term from Collingwood, which kicked four goals for the quarter on the back of a huge territorial advantage, to set up their win.

The result saw the Dogs slip outside the top six on percentage, after Melbourne’s win over St Kilda.

Ellie Blackburn led the possession count for the Bulldogs with 18, while Kirsty Lamb (16 touches and seven tackles) and defender Ash Guest (16 possessions) worked tirelessly.  The Magpies’ Brianna Davey was the best player on the ground with 28 disposals and a goal.

The Bulldogs will travel to Tasmania for a crucial clash with fifth-placed North Melbourne next Saturday.
