Returning from injury on Sunday, Ryan Griffen and Jordan Roughead have recovered well from the round 16 match against Geelong says Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie.
It will be business as usual for the duo on the training track this week after rehabilitating their respective back and shoulder concerns.
“Both Griff and Roughead got through the game well and they pulled up following fine – so we are happy with where we are at and will keep going forward,” McKenzie said.
Clay Smith also made a seamless return from an AC joint injury with Footscray, kicking two goals and collecting 20 disposals in the comprehensive VFL victory over Geelong.
“Clay came into the game confident and got through the game well, so happy with where he is at and he will be available to play again this week,” he said.
Midfielder Adam Cooney is continuing to progress in his rehabilitation of a hamstring injury, increasing his training load and strength regime.
“Cooney has been running, he is building up his running volume and returning to strength training as well so we are very happy with where he is going,” he said.
Also making strides in his recovery from a pectoral muscle injury, forward Tory Dickson is beginning to add more weight bearing exercises into his program.
“Tory is also building some strength work around his shoulders now and he is building that progressively, so we will look to return him into the training group fairly soon,” he said.
