In the latest session of The Whitten Project, Western Bulldogs List Manager, Jason McCartney provided the Young Leaders an insight into his career journey, both on and off the football field.

McCartney detailed his inspiring story, as well as openly discussing how he has overcome the lows and achieved his aspirations through goal setting and resilience.

The Young Leaders tapped into his expertise on goal setting and how great things can be achieved by defining and focusing on short, medium and long term goals in order to obtain ideal outcomes.

McCartney also provided an open account of how he used this goal setting process and drew on the strength of his support network to overcome the challenges of returning to AFL football after being severely injured in the Bali Bombings.

The Young Leaders now look ahead to the exciting opportunity of playing AFL9s at Etihad Stadium during half-time of the St. Kilda v Western Bulldogs match played on Saturday 25 May.
