Sunday’s clash with Fremantle at Patersons Stadium could see an array of fresh faces suit-up for the Western Bulldogs - with seven inclusions have been made to the extended 25 man squad.

Young talents Mitch Wallis, Ayce Cordy and Mark Austin have returned to the side after being rested last week and Development Manager Chris Maple believes they will be valuable inclusions coming off the week’s rest.

“In for the team this week Mark Austin, Mitch Wallis and Ayce Cordy all back after getting rested last week - so the young guys should all be pretty fresh,” Maple said.

Sunday could also see the first senior game in 2012 for veteran Lindsay Gilbee who has been named on an extended interchange bench.

The 202-gamer's experience would be invaluable in the back half in the absence of Robert Murphy who will miss this week through injury.

Also named on the extended bench are Nathan Djerrkura, Jason Tutt and Daniel Pearce all of whom have been vying for a spot in the senior line-up with eye-catching performances for VFL affiliate Williamstown in recent weeks.

Along with Murphy (hip), Dylan Addison (jaw) and Adam Cooney (soreness) will miss Sunday's match through injury.

Liam Jones will return to the VFL this weekend, looking to find form at Williamstown.

The final Bulldogs 22 to face the Dockers will be announced Friday afternoon.
