The Western Bulldogs had a welcome visit from Legend Rohan Smith after training on Thursday and the former Dog’s star came bearing gifts.  Rekindling a lost tradition at Whitten Oval, Smith took time out from his blossoming media career to bring a hearty, home cooked meal to the Kennel, giving the team an extra advantage heading in to Saturdays clash against Melbourne.

“When I was playing I used to make soup for the boys on cold winter nights.  Klippo (Mark Kimpton) called me last week and asked me if I could make some soup for the team...I said no worries”, Smith said.

Excitement swept through the Mission Elite Learning Centre as the tempting aromas of Smithy’s Soup wafted down the halls.  The players forced to jostle for a prime spot in the queue so they could be among the first to sample the goods.

After the delicious lunch, Smith received plenty of positive feedback from the team but unfortunately there was none left to take back home for the family.
“It went down really well, all the boys were pretty happy.  I did not get any bad feedback, which is always a good thing”, Smith said.
