Western Bulldogs Development Coach and Williamstown Senior Coach Peter German looks at how the Bulldogs listed players are faring in the VFL.
Ayce Cordy: He played really well in the ruck. He hasn’t rucked a great deal this year, he has probably played more forward at AFL level, so I know he was really pleased to have a good run in the ruck. Gave us some really good looks around stoppages and when he went forward took some good marks and kicked a nice goal so in the conditions. He was probably one of our best players.
Liam Jones: He played forward and took a couple of good marks in the wet. Kicked a really important goal from about 50 metres out in the last quarter. He is still working hard on the areas that we want him to work hard in with his second efforts but some of his play on the weekend was really strong and we were pleased with the way he presented up the ground.

Patrick Veszpremi: Patty played more forward this week and kicked two goals - possibly could have kicked five or six. Took some strong overhead marks and used his strength. Provided some good pressure as well to defend in the forward line. He looked pretty sharp and he attacked the game really aggressively and played a really strong game as a leading goal kicker on the ground.
Easton Wood: Easton played really well across half back. He was strong and took some good marks. Again in the conditions it wasn’t a real open game but he gave us some good run in defence at times and used the ball well. Easton was probably in our best four or five players.
Alex Greenwood: Greeny played predominantly on ball this week and he is starting to get really good around stoppages. Getting more confident playing a stronger game now in the clinches. I think there was 145 stoppages and he played his part in there. He is getting better each week.
Tom Hill: For a big man in the conditions was really good in the first half - presented up really well. Played in front and led his man to the ball which allowed him to take some marks and have a few shots on goals. Probably a little stiff and could have got some free kicks with some arm chops but again we are really pleased with the way he actually came up at the ball and presented and went strong in the contest.
Brodie Moles: Brodie was alright. He got his fair share of the ball and used it pretty well. It was a solid game. We still have areas of the game that we continue to work with him but all in all he made a good contribution.
Lukas Markovic: Marko was terrific down back. Didn’t get a lot of the ball but certainly didn’t let his man get much of the ball either. Defended really strongly and had a really good third quarter where he was actually able to give us a bit of rebound out of the back half. He did a lot of the kicking out and did that really well. It was a game for Marko to get back and get through and he did that really well and played around 80% of the game which was good.
