Season Overview:
Showing his versatility shifting between key forward and defensive posts Matthew Panos was a solid contributor for Bulldogs VFL affiliate Williamstown. Eventually taking out the Seagulls leading goal kicker award, the 21-year-old continued to demonstrate his accuracy in front of the big sticks despite less than favourable conditions on multiple occasions throughout the year. Played an instrumental role in Williamstown’s semi-final win against Casey Scorpions but was relatively quiet the weekend after when they bowed out of the Premiership race.

By the Numbers:
Boasting one of the highest kicking (73.9%) and disposal efficiency (79.4) percentages for Williamstown, Panos proved he is more than capable of hitting a target. He kicked 24 goals and only nine behinds for the season as well as contributing with 18 goal assists and 33 inside 50s.
Season Highlight:
A game-high four goals against Frankston in round 12 was a highlight for Panos who also managed ten disposals, five marks and four hitouts on the day. His performance resulted in him being named amongst the best players in the eventual draw.
Pre-Season Focus:
Continuing to develop both his attacking and defensive craft, the Norwood recruit’s pre-season will be geared speed and strength development. Panos will be looking to impress over summer and during the Bulldogs NAB Cup campaign as he eyes a senior debut.
