The Western Bulldogs today launched Our Heartland Campaign - the Club’s unique membership drive aimed at building and celebrating the Club’s enduring connection with Greater Western Melbourne.

More than any other team in the competition the Bulldogs heritage, and future, is intrinsically linked to our geographic heartland - Melbourne’s West. 

Our Heartland unapologetically celebrates the Club’s connection to the West - while also telling the new story of the Western Bulldogs Football Team - a story of energy, youth, passion, drive and excitement for the future.

In an AFL first Our Heartland also tells the story of the communities that make up the fabric of Greater Western Melbourne - Melton, Wyndham, Point Cook, Maribyrnong and Hobson Bay. 

There is something happening out West and we want you to be a part of it in 2013. 

No matter where you come from - when you become a Bulldogs supporter you also become a part of our community which has been anchored in the West for 130 years.   Indeed it’s that spirit and ambition that resides in all our fans - that famous Bulldogs’ “heart” - wherever they may be.

With a new coaching team in place, bolstered resources in the football department, and almost 20 debutants making an appearance in the Red, White and Blue in the last two years - few other AFL clubs will have such a strong foundation for the future. 

As a Club, we are determined to seize the opportunities presented to us right here in our own heartland, to build a sustainable, successful football club, both on and off the field. 

Off the field the completion of the $31 million redevelopment of Whitten Oval means the Western Bulldogs have best-in-class commercial, community and elite training facilities and we are emerging as an industry leader in member engagement and online innovation, to ensure we are meeting the needs of the Club’s Members and Fans.
