Adam Cooney is expected to line up for the Western Bulldogs for his second consecutive game next Sunday after recovering well from yesterday’s clash with Sydney.

Having missed six weeks rehabilitating his ongoing knee injury, Cooney played out 33% game time coming on as a substitution in the third term and is expected to play again next week according to Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie.

“Adam played on the weekend he got through and he has pulled up well this morning,” McKenzie said.

“He will train this week and we expect him to play again this weekend.”

McKenzie also dismissed any injury concerns over Ryan Griffen in his career best 47 disposal performance.

Coming off the field late in the fourth term, McKenzie confirmed Griffen had suffered some cramping.

“That was just a cramp - he had a hard day on the track, got his 47 and he can cramp at that time,” he said.

As for the remainder of the injury list, pacey young pups Daniel Pearce and Jason Tutt are both one week off playing footy while rehabilitating hamstring injuries and could return before the season ends.
