WESTERN Bulldogs debutant Lin Jong says he's "quietly happy" about his performance in his first match, the Bulldogs' 70-point loss to Richmond at the MCG on Sunday.
"I tried my hardest," Jong said of his 16-possession debut. "I just cracked in, which is all they wanted from me.
"I was quietly happy. It wasn't great, but it wasn't that bad."

The 19-year-old midfielder said 50 family members and friends were in the stands to watch him, but his parents were not among them because they were in Auckland on holiday.
"They tried to get a flight back but they couldn't," he said. "They'll just have to watch the replay."
Jong's father is from East Timor while his mother is from Taiwan.
He was born and raised in Melbourne, and was recruited from TAC Cup club Oakleigh Chargers.
Jong said the pace of the game made him cramp up during the last quarter.
"I was just happy to make my debut," he said. "I wasn't too fussed about how I went.
"I was just happy to be out there playing with my teammates."
