Veteran Daniel Giansiracusa was the only casualty from Saturday’s loss to Brisbane Lions suffering a stress injury in his foot.

Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie said Giansiracusa endured the foot injury in the final term of the match.

“Gia pulled up sore in the last quarter and has got some stress in his foot,” McKenzie said.

“We will keep him out in a boot this week to let it settle down and he will probably miss four weeks - but we will see how that settles.”

Key defender Tom Williams, however, is progressing well in his rehabilitation and will be assessed this weekend looking to return through the VFL.

“He has been back in full training and pulling up great - so he is assessed to play this week and we are really confident that he will go well,” McKenzie said.

Andrew Hooper also joins the injury list with a hamstring strain.
