What club did you support growing up?
I was a Tiger, unfortunately.
Using one word, how would you describe the life of an AFL footballer?
Tense.
What is your favourite team to play against and why?
Richmond, because it’s always a big crowd and usually high drama.
Is the game becoming too fast?
I think it’s getting faster but I don’t think it’s becoming too fast. I think it’s becoming like a steeplechase now, which I think is exciting.
What is your favourite football memory?
First game of junior football was a highlight – I had to pull the jumper over my hands because I was so cold. That’s what it’s all about.
What would you call the new Gold Coast and western Sydney teams if you had naming power?
I was going to say something stupid, but you’ll have to get back to me on that one.
If you could be any other player, who would you be?
Lindsay Gilbee. It must be fun to be that vague.
THE TEAM
Who's the most annoying player to room with when you go interstate and why?
Gia (Daniel Giansiracusa) is my interstate roommate, but he’s not that annoying. We’re an old married couple.
What's the funniest prank any of your teammates have played on you?
Someone filled up my locker with polystyrene pretty early on. It’s still there I think.
Who considers himself the most fashionable at the club?
Gia probably ‘considers’ himself the most fashionable.
Who would be the most unfashionable?
Will Minson.
Who's got the best singing voice?
Clearly mine, but Scott West would argue passionately that his is.
What's an amusing fact about one of your teammates that not many people know?
We sometimes all double up in the ice baths.
If you had to pick one of your teammates to take on a date, who would it be?
Timmy Callan. He’s the boy next door.
What's the funniest Rocket moment you can think of?
I’ll have to think about that.
AT HOME
Who do you live with?
My girlfriend.
Who does the cooking?
We share it, but I’ve become a bit of a chef at home. I enjoy my cooking.
How are you in the kitchen?
I would say I’m on the up. With a bullet.
If you were having Rodney Eade around for dinner, what would you cook?
Thai red curry. With prawns.
Who does the housework at your place?
My lovely girlfriend.
What's your most used appliance and why?
The kettle.
Do you have any pets?
Yep, a sausage dog.
What is your most annoying habit?
Putting empty things back in the cupboard or fridge.
