JARROD Harbrow will be spared any special treatment from the Western Bulldogs this weekend despite walking out on the club within days of the end of last season.

Harbrow quit the Bulldogs after last year's preliminary final loss to St Kilda and signed on with Gold Coast.

He will be reacquainted with his former side this week, but Daniel Giansiracusa says the Bulldogs won't go out of their way to give Harbrow a hard time.

"I read in the paper that he thinks there might be a bit coming for him. But like any other player out there we'll just treat him like the rest of them," Giansiracusa said on Wednesday.
"He was a fantastic player for us and we won't shake hands before the game probably. but we'll definitely shake hands with him after hopefully getting a win."

Giansiracusa said the Bulldogs would not take the Suns lightly despite their heavy loss to Carlton.

"They'll be smarting from what happened on the weekend like we were after the Essendon game. That's how we're taking it and we'll probably take a bit of a leaf out of Carlton's book," he said.

"They hit them early and I think we've got to do that, have our intensity up and our work rate up and I think we'll be able to get the job done."

Giansiracusa played down talk of a spirited debrief among players after the round one loss to the Bombers, saying the post-match review went ahead as normal.

"It was like any other Monday when you have a shocking loss like we did. It was a bit of a cleansing day and by 4pm you had it over and done with and we were able to focus on Brisbane," he said.

"As a player you just want to get out there and train and fix up the things you've done wrong. We did that well last week to some regard. We've still got a lot of work to do but hopefully we can keep improving as the weeks go on."
