Easton Wood is continuing to make strides in his rehabilitation program, after he got through his first senior VFL game for the season unscathed on the weekend.

Western Bulldogs Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie said the athletic defender completed the required minutes for Williamstown, in an encouraging display.

“Easton has been a real positive, he played in the VFL senior team this week and he got through the game time we set him and has pulled up really well,” McKenzie said.

The Bulldogs medical team, along with Easton have taken a thorough approach to strengthening his hamstring since round three earlier this season.

In a better week on the injury front, the only medical concern to come out of the weekend’s matches was a concussion to Nick Lower in the VFL clash.

“Nick was concussed in the second quarter, he is still suffering some symptoms so he is unlikely to play this week,” he said.
