Western Bulldogs defender Hayden Crozier will miss his side’s match against Carlton at Metricon Stadium on Sunday night.
Crozier’s one-match sanction was upheld by the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs had elected to challenge the sanction offered by the MRO, for rough conduct (dangerous tackle) against opponent Jack Mahony in Saturday night’s win against North Melbourne.
The incident was classified by the MRO as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact.
After nearly two hours of discussion and deliberation, the verdict and one-match suspension was upheld.
Crozier has been a star performer for the Bulldogs in 2020, averaging 16 disposals across five games on a half-back flank.
This will be the first match he will miss due to suspension in his nine years in the AFL system.
