The President, Board, Staff, Coaches, Players and Members of the Western Bulldogs are deeply saddened by the passing of John Van Groningen.
For a decade John was instrumental in providing counselling and mentoring services to the Club's playing group and personnel through his position as Club Chaplain. John will also be remembered for his work with remote indigenous communities in the Northern Territory and India through his 'Red Dust' role models program.
An incredible person who has given so much to so many, John will be dearly missed. Condolences to Jennifer, Austin, Miranda and Jackie at this sad time.
