The class of 2013 graduated from the Western Bulldogs affiliated Fresh Program last night, marking the tenth successful year since the program’s inception in 2004.
Bulldogs veteran and Fresh Ambassador Robert Murphy was on hand to present the students with their VCAL qualifications at 501 Receptions in West Footscray.
Tiffany Pitts was named the 2013 Student of the Year for her outstanding achievements throughout the year, with both her academic and personal successes and growth.
Fresh provides an alternative pathway to the mainstream education system, placing emphasis on a practical work environment and smaller class sizes.
Aimed towards 15 to 20-year-olds, Fresh looks to foster the students’ individual development while preparing them for life after schooling – whether that be tertiary education or entering the workforce.
Fresh is a community education service supported by the Western Bulldogs and Victoria University, alongside community partners Qenos, Nexans Olex and Macquarie.
