Bulldogs List Manager, Jason McCartney has indicated that discussions are ongoing in relation to Stewart Crameri.

With Gillette AFL Trade Period officially commencing Monday morning, McCartney is confident that negotiations will result in a fair outcome for both parties.

“As it stands Stu has expressed his interest to play at the Bulldogs,” McCartney told AFL.com.au’s Trade Radio.

The two clubs have until the Friday 28 October 2013 deadline to broker a deal.

"We're pretty set on the level we're at and obviously Essendon is trying to get the best deal for their footy club," he said.

"I understand and appreciate both parties are trying to do the best thing for their club.

"We've got three weeks. Hopefully it doesn't take that long."

McCartney also denied the Western Bulldogs had been in talks with the management of GWS Giant’s key forward Jon Patton.
