The Western Bulldogs are delighted to confirm the appointment of Michael Regan to the role of Player Acquisition and Strategy Manager.
Regan joins the red, white and blue after a decade-long stint at Port Adelaide within their list and recruiting area as Innovation, Performance and List Analytics Manager.
Prior to joining Port Adelaide, Regan had previously spent six years at Catapult Sports, working across a number of areas and leading its expansion into the US market.
The newly created position replaces outgoing National Recruiting Manager Dom Milesi, with Luke Williams coming on board as a Recruiting Officer. The role will oversee all acquisition, while leading and executing the Club’s draft and trade strategies.
Executive Manager of Men’s Football Sam Power will remain involved in contracts, TPP and the Club’s list strategy within the list and recruiting department.
“We’re delighted to have Michael join the Bulldogs,” Power said.
“After reviewing our list management requirements and interviewing a number of strong candidates, Michael stood out as the best fit for our Club.
“He has a broad and innovative skillset with an ability to lead a team of recruiters, having gained significant experience during his time at Port Adelaide.
“Michael comes to the Club with strong strategic thinking, talent identification and data analytics capabilities. He’ll use these valuable skills and implement them through the Club’s list management and recruiting processes.”
“We look forward to welcoming Michael and his family to the Club.”
Regan shared his excitement for the next chapter of his career journey at the red, white and blue.
“I am pleased to be joining the Bulldogs at such an exciting time for the Club,” Regan said.
“With a strong playing list, new facility, growing membership base and celebration of 100 years in the VFL/AFL, there couldn’t be a better time to arrive at Mission Whitten Oval.
"While I can’t wait to get started, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity and the memories that Port Adelaide provided. They were very supportive through this process and I cannot thank them enough.”
Regan will begin his role later this week.
