Thirty of the nation’s best junior talent from the AIS-AFL Academy trained at Whitten Oval yesterday, with two aspiring footballers set to train with the Western Bulldogs next week.
Bulldogs Strategic Operations Manager Ben Graham said that two AIS scholarship holders will train with the playing group next week as a mutually beneficial part of the annual program.
“They break off next week and train at individual Clubs… to immerse themselves in our program for the entire week so that includes all the meetings, the training, lifting weights and getting to know the players,” Graham said.
“It’s a great program and to have those two boys in next week…[it’s] a chance for us to look at them but for them to be able to experience a day in, day out AFL program.”
Dallas Willsmere (Ballarat Rebels) and Cameron Conlan (Northern Knights) will join the Bulldogs playing group next week for full training.
