Scans have confirmed Ayce Cordy has endured a stress fracture in his fibula and will be sidelined for four to six weeks.
The Bulldogs’ key position tall was withdrawn from Williamstown’s clash against Collingwood in the VFL with soreness, with the extent of the injury verified last week.
“Ayce missed last week’s game with soreness and during the week scans showed a stress fracture in his fibula and he will miss four to six weeks,” Western Bulldogs Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie said.
Michael Talia’s recovery from a fractured jaw has been fast tracked, with the defender deemed available to play this weekend.
“Tals has been training with the group and this week has been assessed by the doctor and he’s been given the all clear [to] train unrestricted and he will be available to play this week,” he said.
Versatile tall Tom Williams is also set to make his football return for his first game back since round three in the VFL, Mckenzie said.
“Tom is in full training and he is available to play this week as well,” he said.
