The Western Bulldogs could regain the services of Dale Morris on Sunday against Adelaide, after Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie indicated the veteran had progressed well over the past week.
Morris was ruled out of the Club’s round five match against Carlton through suspension but irrespective of the MRP’s ruling, an ankle injury would have kept the defender out, after he collided with young Giant Hoskin-Elliot.
“Dale’s ankle has settled down really well, he’s been running [and] he’s pulled up well from that,” McKenzie said.
“We are optimistic for the week, we will assess him further and we will wait and see how he comes in.”
Young forward Nathan Hrovat will also be available for selection this weekend and is expected to make his comeback through the VFL.
“Nathan has had some calf soreness and we’ve been managing him through his training – he is expected to play this week,” he said.
No additional injuries were sustained in Bulldogs AFL and VFL games over the weekend.
