The coaches voted Jake Stringer and Adam Cooney as the best performed players in the Bulldogs clash with St Kilda on Sunday —both awarded nine votes in the AFL Coaches’ Association awards.
Stringer’s performance earned him a Rising Star nomination with four goals - which also included two Hungry Jacks Goal of the Year nominations.
Veteran Cooney’s form also turned the coaches’ heads, finding 25 touches and contributing with three majors in a standout performance.
Fellow forward Stewart Crameri converted three of six chances on goal, earning him five votes from the two coaches.
Shaun Higgins was another player who took attracted votes, adding an experienced head across the backline to find a game high 26 disposals, four clearances and six rebound 50s.
St Kilda pair Leigh Montagna and Jack Steven round out the AFLCA voting, awarded one vote each for their strong performance in their team’s loss to the Bulldogs.
