Season in short:

After suffering a broken cheekbone and a torn calf in the early stages of the year, it took Nathan Hrovat until round 11 to play his first game in the senior side for 2014.

He quickly established his spot in the line-up, only missing one game for the remainder of the season.

The young midfielder earned a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination for a breakout game against Gold Coast in round 17. Hrovat picked up 27 disposals, 11 contested possessions, five marks, four tackles and a late goal in a most impressive performance that excited Bulldogs fans.

Hrovat also put on an inspiring display in round 22 in the loss to Sydney, with a career-high 30 disposals, six marks and three tackles.

Ranked second among rising stars in disposals per game in 2014, averaging over 17 for the year.
