It's always a sad day when a Bulldogs legend calls time on a great career, and the retirement of fan favourite Sid the Bulldog is no exception.
After many seasons of loyal service to the Club, it's time for the beloved British Bulldog to put his feet up and have a rest.
Sid has been a regular feature at Bulldogs home games at Etihad Stadium over a long period, always happy to meet and greet fellow Doggies fans and pose for a photo with... no expression at all.
In recent times the nine-year-old's eyesight hasn't been what it once was, and he will now enjoy a well-earned retirement, knowing how much happiness he has given to fans over the years, just as his predecessor Scragger did.
While Sid's shoes are big ones to fill, the Club will announce his replacement in coming weeks.
