Tune in at 11am this morning for an in-depth interview with Western Bulldogs Recruiting Manager, Simon Dalrymple but for those of you who can’t wait, here’s a sneak peak at the latest additions to the kennel.

According to Dalrymple, the main criteria for the Club’s selections were attitude and having the right character to want to improve and he’s confident that’s been achieved with the selections.

Luke Dahlhaus - formerly of the Geelong Falcons
Dahlhaus is a midfielder with elite speed and agility; he broke records for best agility test at state combine and led the TAC Cup as leading tackler.
Dalrymple says he needs to improve his kicking but his speed and his ability to clear the ball from stoppages, by using his leg speed will add value.

Jason Johannissen - formerly of East Fremantle
Johannissen is an outside midfielder with elite speed and agility; he is a good kick and decision maker who needs to work on getting stronger in contested situations.
Long-term, Dalrymple says this gives us a good balanced midfield with Tom Liberatore and Mitch Wallis and now a good clearance player and an outside midfielder with genuine speed.

According to Dalrymple, it’s all about speed. What we achieved in trade week delivered this to us in the short term with Justin Sherman and Nathan Djerrkura and now we’ve also achieved this long term with these younger boys.

Ed Barlow - formerly of Sydney Swans
The Club’s Match committee were very keen to secure Ed; Dalrymple says he was seen as being able to play a number of roles. He has been super impressive on the field with his strong work ethic and attitude.

Mitch Hahn
Mitch Hahn returns as a mature age rookie after being delisted in November.  Hahn will now combine training with a part-time coaching role with the Williamstown Seagulls.
