The Western Bulldogs are one of the most tipped teams to make the finals in 2020, according to the competition’s captains.

Thirteen opposition captains have predicted the Bulldogs will take part in September action for a second consecutive season.

Only five other clubs polled more votes.

Every opposition captain predicted West Coast, Richmond and the GWS Giants will reach the top eight, with all bar one believing Collingwood will be there too.

Brisbane Lions received votes from 15 opposition captains.

The Giants were the overwhelming favourite to feature on Grand Final day, earning seven nominations, followed by West Coast (five), Richmond (four) and Collingwood (two).

Bulldogs skipper Marcus Bontempelli was tipped for the Brownlow Medal by two opposition captains – as was Dustin Martin – with fellow midfield stars Patrick Cripps (five), Lachie Neale (four) and Nat Fyfe (three) all featuring prominently.
