AFLW leader Izzy Huntington says there is plenty of positivity in the Bulldogs’ camp, despite recording back-to-back losses.
While giving Carlton credit for the way it took its chances in Saturday’s Pride Game, Huntington said the Dogs will look to rectify their season when they face West Coast away this Saturday night at Leederville Oval.
“Every game is sort of amplified in terms of what it means for ladder positioning, but as cliché as it sounds you just take it week by week,” she said in the post-game press conference.
“We’ve got great people in charge and really good trust in the coaching division, so we trust them and the changes they’ll make.
“We’ll just do everything we can to get ourselves up and ready for the flight to Perth.”
Huntington also commended her teammates for the way they battled in the middle against the Blues.
“It’s not all negative – you look at the positives as well and see we have got that strong midfield – the Blackburns, the Lambs, the McCarthys all did a really great job, and we’ve got to pat them on the back.
“It’s not all doom and gloom in terms of that.”
