The Western Bulldogs will head into their clash with Brisbane today without complacency, according to defender Lukas Webb
The Dogs play their final match before finals against the 18th-placed Lions but Webb said on Friday they will be prepared for a firing Brisbane keen to finish their season strongly.
“We know they’re a really strong side when they play good footy and they’re obviously willing to come out and have a red hot crack as their last game of the year.
“We’re just really looking forward to getting out there.”
Webb returned to the side last weekend against North Melbourne after impressing early in the season with his composure under pressure.
The first-year player has been played as a defender throughout the year but despite spending time last week in the forward line, says he expects to return down back against the Lions.
“I played a little bit forward last week which was a little bit different to the first half of the year.
“But I think I’ll go back… I’m assuming I’ll go back into the normal position across the half-back line.”
In his first season, Webb has played nine games and says he’s relishing the opportunity to be back in the side at the pointy end of the season.
“Obviously a good opportunity to be in the side this late in the year and I’ll just take my opportunities as they come.”
