The Footscray Bulldogs will play their first practice match this weekend at Victoria University Whitten Oval.
The reigning VFL premiers will play Werribee on Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm, and Footscray fans will be able to get a first look at the Club’s new VFL recruits including Mitch Hannan and Tom Sharp.
Josh Wallis, brother of Mitch, will wear the Bulldogs colours for the first time and defender Fletcher Roberts, will have his first competitive hit out of the year after coming back from injury.
2014 draftees Toby McLean, Declan Hamilton and Bailey Dale have been named, while rookies Daniel Pearce, Jordan Kelly and Roarke Smith will also play in the practice match.
Ten AFL-listed players are currently in the 23-man team, with three more to possibly come in to the team from the AFL squad that has been named for Saturday night’s match against Collingwood.
Footscray will play four practice matches ahead of their first game on Saturday 18 April.
