On Tuesday 13 December, local and iconic Footscray organisation, Little Saigon Market was destroyed by a devastating blaze causing over $12 million in damages.
The Les Twentyman Foundation utilised the upstairs storage space, holding thousands of dollars worth of 2017 school text books, stationary and computers that were set to assist 450 underprivileged young Victorians in returning to school in 2017.
The Western Bulldogs Football Club invites all members of the community, to donate stationary items, 2017 school text books or make a financial contribution during Club business hours to be passed on to the Les Twentyman Foundation.
Donations can also be made on Saturday 17 December, 2016 at the Christmas Open Training Session from 8:00am – 10:30am, VU Whitten Oval – 417 Barkly Street, Footscray West or online at www.ltfoundation.com.au.
Saturday's open training session at VU Whitten Oval will also provide attendees with an opportunity to make a gold coin donation to the cause.
The Western Bulldogs appreciates the financial strains at this particular time of year for all families and greatly appreciates any contributions made.
